I went to Michigan and State actually. I’ve never once tried to say that Michigan state is equal to OSU in value. What I have said is that the schools and more importantly their presidents get an equal say in decisions. I know this is inconceivable to you coming from a conference where your big schools treated everyone else like trash but that just isn’t the way it’s been done in the big ten. WithCovid last year the conference ****** everything up from day one and had to scramble to make things right but all the other schools were ok with it (maybe not Indiana)

This is cute but no one in the BigTen has more say than OSU, UM, and PSU. You other fukwads think people care about the rest. Sorry they dont mean squat. I am not saying any of those 3 will leave the B10 but lets not act like anyone other school has national standing. Fuk you added RU and Maryland

Did you even read what I wrote? I never said any other school has more say, just that all school presidents get an equal say. Never said anything about the value of the other schools or national standing either

My guess is all these conferences are going to say they are NOT interested in expansion for now....because the legal situation with OU/UT needs to be worked out prior to any efforts to pull Big12 teams. Once there is a settlement and OU/UT are locked into a departure date...THEN....and only then...will we see any PUBLIC admissions about looking into expansion.

The B1G-PAC-ACC alliance is about holding the SEC accountable and in check....which means nothing happens expansion-wise until OU/UT write that big check to the Big 12 leftovers. The alliance is also going to hold the playoff format hostage and make an agreement to play each other in non-conference games rather than to play SEC teams. Expansion, then, has to wait a bit...so we'll have to be patient and ride out the GOR/Exit fee negotiations.

Just one opinion, and quite possibly wrong, but there it is.
A new Pac12 ong term TV deal could be the defacto settlement.
but I would think 6 teams at a minimum need placed but I don't know what the league rules are for dissolution and even if there is a dissolution would 2 teams left behind still have legal claims?
Maybe the ACC takes 2 teams.

Yes, it does. Not saying that is good for college athletics, but it matters.

So do you think Kansas State is a shoe in to get picked up?

Do you think the B1G is in good stable condition if PSU/OSU/Michigan take off?

Kansas state has very low chances of being picked up. In a world where those schools left the big ten yes the conference would be in much worse shape

No and no. Neither situation is going to happen, but I appreciate speculation because it’s fun.

15 pages of endless speculation I would assume. Congrats to @ChrisMWilliams, baby has a new pair of shoes just off of this thread I would assume.
I don't think he gets paid by the post...
Yes, but I’m sure he does get paid every time that annoying ad pops up and takes over 1/4 of your screen. Judging by how often that happens, baby has plenty of new shoes.

Exactly so I can't justify Iowa really having much value for what they do for a conference because of their current ranking.

I'm sorry, someone is going to have to explain to me why I'm getting dumbed out of the building here...

Cincinnati -- Former "power conference" member of the Big East. Expand east and give WVU a natural conference rival.
Houston and SMU --- Former "power conference" members of the SWC, natural fit.
BYU -- never in a "power conference" per se, but hold more clout as an Independent than as an AAC/Mtn West conference team, large fan base too.

Honorable mention for Rice, also as a former member of the SWC. We already have TCU and Baylor, and in this hypothetical we'd have BYU. Might as well add another Christian school to the mix and you could add them over Cincinnati since everyone is weird about "city" colleges being in a power conference.

This solution makes sense if we're adding teams. No directional schools (which I agree with) and only 1 or 2 at most, city colleges, which I'm sorry, I don't understand why that's weird.
I agree with a heavy Texas presence which makes Houston the top add overall. The concentration of Texas teams and OSU games should get good ratings in years those teams are doing well. SMU might help give even more reason for Texas media markets to cover the B12 but the school is only like 11k so not sure they make the cut, the league really needs to research that and if you have UH there is no reason for Rice.

BYU should be number 2.

As some hope for the demise of us to none power 5, you will lose the battle to keep talent to go to your toxic program.

That many football players don’t come forward if there wasn’t an issue within your toxic program.
