OU: "Waaahhhhh, 11:00!"

Also OU: "It's 2021, and we still gouge our fans for $50+ for a pay-per-view game like it's 2001."

This.

I was in Norman when we won in 2017, and their fans were not thrilled about it being an 11 AM kick.
Oh no. They didn’t like 11AM then either?!?

Not exactly sure.
The network cuts your program a check largely based on success of the Oklahoma program.

Oklahoma asked for a concession as we have the bulk of the game of the century surviving members coming in for festivities, can't even get a solid?

OU has has forty something pre-noon games since realigment, the most of the leagues "upper tier". It's not equitable, impacts recruiting and city commerce
Naw, we are cut a check due to the popularity of Texas. Without Texas we all take a huge pay cut.

At least the game will be over in plenty of time for both teams to watch the ISU/UNLV game... ;)

Maybe JP should complain that a game involving a top 6 team is going to be on ESPN+? Do you think they will put the patsies the SEC plays in November on ESPN+ instead of the regular channels?

OU thinks they deserve the prime time game every week!

ESPN quite literally announced a number of SEC games on ESPN+ this year, including FBS matchups.

This isn’t the same TV viewing habits of 10 years ago. The 12 PM ET time slot is actually one of the most watched slots of the day now. There is a reason Fox has scheduled a bunch of 11 AM games for OU the last couple years.

Should have known a fan of a program with such a rich football tradition dating all the way back to January of 2021 wouldn't understand.

Festivities have been in planning for 3 years, hell 10 years starting with the scheduling.

i agree, should be a night game
