Watched the PAC 12s last night. It was really cool that they were on Thursday so they don’t get lost in the shuffle with Big 10 and Big 12.

133 - Romney and Bailey are both tough. Neither did much in their finals match, so not really much to be learned. Bailey is not a guy that I’d want Frost to see in a 3-6 matchup at nationals if that is how seeds go. Tough to score on and can light it up on top.

197 - Ferrari - not sure we learned anything. Seems like relatively the same guy as he was before. Not going to be able to generate offense against the best, but nearly impossible to score on, can ride, and can get away. I personally don’t think he has the reps this year to be able to implement that style to a title. Buchanan looks great.

Also, forgot to mention, looks like some serious Palumboism on Ferrari. Not surprising

So how does PAC12 get away with a 4 team qualifier. Didn't NCAA try and get rid of that when Big 12 was done to 4? Also aren't they adding teams next year? Any official talk of who? I assume Cal Baptist, then maybe some like Northern Colorado, Air Force or Utah Valley

They interviewed one of the commissioners during the finals. I think it was during 74 or 84, but can’t remember for sure. It’s sounds like they had an exception this year. They want wrestling to be an official conference sport and are looking at both full members and affiliates.

I assumed that with the Pac 12 blowing up that they had a 1 year exemption. Always thought So Co and Pac 12 should merge somewhere. Both are usually pretty weak and small tournaments.

I think you nailed it.

A few affiliate B12 members will not be around once the revenue sharing becomes a thing.

Ramos loses, Bartlett loses, VanNess loses Parco loses

Iowa paid millions to come in 3rd in their conference it seems.
