Re: Fuskers are getting crazy

In his presser announcing the he fired Cally, one of the first things he talks about is his 4th season and how they went 10-2.

I noticed the same thing and felt that he was making the press conference more about himself than the firing as well.

I was talking to our resident huge Nebraska fan at work today. Their current problem is that Les Miles has been allowed to talk to Michigan, after this Saturday's game. That raises the possibility that Miles will leave, and Pelini will have an opportunity to succeed him at LSU. So basically, they are stuck waiting to see how all that plays out.

I hope TO does hire Gill. Then when he falls on his face, Tommy will have to fire the chosen one. Having them both fail would send Nebraska into an unparalleled, direction-less tailspin. Nobody would know which direction to go then.

Nebraska needs to learn from Bama's mistakes and quit trying to recapture the past. They've been trying to relive the Bear Bryant years for decades and getting nowhere. NU needed to hire another AD with guidance from TO, but not put him in charge. Now all their eggs are in one basket with all the money on the table.

Their problem was not veering from tradition and hiring Callahan. Their problem was hiring a crappy college coach.

He is recruiting Boys for Bo. Everyone says so. Not that many people wanted the job.
