TV Announcers for the game:

Mark Jones, Robert Griffin III, Quint Kessenich

Sarkisian on playing Iowa State:

On Iowa State's strengths

"Coach (Matt) Campbell has done a great job at Iowa State as we all know. These guys have been close in a lot of football games here, most recently the last two. Games coming down to the wire. They play great defense. Probably the best defense in conference, really sound and really disciplined. Keep the ball in front, play good against the run, so we’ve got our work out for us there. They possess the ball offensively. This is going to be a big week for us from a preparation standpoint, mental focus, intensity to get ourselves in position to play well on Saturday."

We might get trucked. But I am hoping, somehow, Texas shot their wad last week and it's hangover time for them. Yes, I know OU apparently sucks but they dislike OU a hell of a lot more than us. And Sark probably knew he needed to win that game.

Probably need to score 24 to 27 points to get this one. Our defense is for real, but they need some serious help from the offense in a game like this.
Totally agree
I have seen little to make me optimistic we can score one touchdown, let alone three.
But, perhaps it all comes together this week,
Go clones!

It feels like this will be one of those trips to Austin when their DL completely outclasses our OL and forces Dekkers to run for his life. We need a really sharp gameplan.

Our biggest weakness on D imo has always been teams willing to throw deep and let their receivers make plays against our CBs. I have a feeling Ewers is going to be putting a lot of pressure on our secondary.

Hate to say it, but Texas has been pretty good on both sides of the ball. Their defense is quietly playing VERY well, and the offense has been real good with Ewers. I expect they will hold Bijan more or less in check (ie 100yd game, not 200yd game), but I could see Worthy scoring a couple times for sure.

ISU will show better than OU, but its hard to imagine a path to a W here. Unless they just totally reinvent the offense overnight and it takes Texas 3 quarters to adjust.

With Hudson Card I think we could eek one out even with our terrible offensive play. However, now that Ewers is back I don't see any chance.
Kid is playing like a top 3 qb in the nation.

Even as good as our defense has been playing (and they have been lights out the last two weeks) the offense can only keep making mistakes so often and not have it hurt. This is the week where those mistakes will more likely turn into points. IF (I always hope this doesn't happen) the offense keeps playing like it has nearly all year this (meaning making mistakes and not scoring) then this will be a blow out. Once the snowball starts downhill it will accelerate. So, IF the offense doesn't improve this one could end up in the 52-9 range. Yep...that's us still not scoring a touchdown.

BUT, if the offense can find life and take pressure off the defense. Stop with stupid mistakes like false starts. Provide some protection, let the QB get into rhythm, have some semblance of a running game (is that all to much to ask for?), then...then we will be in this thing.

16.5 point spread. I like us to cover, but it will take some doing to actually win. We need a Marv Silas-type surprise.

i know ive been negative on here but i got a good feeling about this one. not sure if we'll win but we'll keep it close enough for us to come away thinking we should have won if we lose.

I really want to feel differently, but I just see this as the first true blowout loss of the CMC era. I'm looking in the 42-10 range, with us getting a late touchdown to get to 10. I just don't see our offense moving the ball enough to get our defense the rest they will need. I think the first quarter will be ok and look close, but by the end of the first half, the game will be over.
