I think much like Baylor and TCU last year, K state is gonna be average. As I said I certainly wouldn't bet on it, but I kind of have a felling this is the year it starts to fall apart for them. The only thing that might save them is an easy non conference schedule and easy conference.

You know what? I hope you're right. I do think that KSU is due for a drop off, but I don't know that it happens this year. They return a lot of players from a good team. That said, with the way they run Ertz, he could easily get injured and then their season falls off a cliff.

I do disagree with your repeated narrative that the Big 12 was "really, really bad" last year. They did not have any elite teams for sure. But they only had one really bad team in KU. ISU wasn't good, but they were good enough by mid season to give pretty much anyone a game. The Big 10 DID have some elite teams, but they also had a LOT of bad teams too. That conference would be like ISU/TT/KU making up a full half of the league. Easy for fraud teams like Nebraska or Minnesota to pile up the wins. Was it better than the Big 12? Sure...for the first time in a long time, but let's not make it out to be a huge grind, because it wasn't.

I thought you didn't care about other teams in he Big12? Why so defensive about what I think KState will or won't be this year? You are seriously losing your mind about what I think about K State? Weird.

Well I was hoping the Big 12 would be down this year but you've made it clear it will not be since Kansas State would be an above average team in every conference but they aren't in the loaded Big 12.

This wouldn't totally shock me. If ISU beat Iowa, they should beat UNI and the other patsy. That would mean they only win 3 in an easy Big12, that would be disappointing.

ISU CAN go to a bowl game this year, but a lot of things are going to have to go right. There are a lot of toss-up or near toss-up games on the schedule. Last year, they were on the wrong end of almost all of those. They are going to need to solidify the defense to pull some of those out. And that depends on the JUCOs living up to their press, Lanning being a solid LB and Cotton-Moya staying healthy for once. The offense will move the ball on just about everyone they play unless they get down too far and become one-dimensional.

Actually I think you just have trouble reading. I have said a number of times I think the Big12 will be down again.

You can't think a conference is going to be down if a top 25 team is just average in that conference. You have made it clear the conference is going to be loaded which sucks for ISU

Baylor and TCU were ranked last year and were average and the Big12 was really bad. Probabay be much the same this year. This is good for ISU though as I think they are gonna be better and get to .500 or over.

Kansas State would be an above average team in any conference but the Big 12. Loaded. Stacked. And it sucks

What are you talking about? They were way above average last year in the Big12, but not even ranked in the top 25.

But now they're a preseason top 25 team and they're just average in the Big 12?

Yeah, just like Baylor and TCU last year, both Pre season top 25 teams that were average. Happens all the time. You know this, you just are trolling this for some reason. I don't really get why you troll so much, it is really sad.

So you said Baylor, Notre Dame, Michigan State and TCU were average in the preseason last year?

Lol OK troll

I called Michigan over Louisville as well. I am calling ISU with 6 wins, and I think K state will start to decline this year. I didn't realize you are such a K State fan and this would upset you so much.

Here are two metrics (and probably the two most well regarded that you can find). Sagarin and Massey, and how each team ranks in said ranking. Strength of schedule in parenthesis for Sagarin.

Sagarin Massey

#5 Ohio St. (6) #6 Ohio St.
#6 Oklahoma (14) #9 Penn St.
#9 Wisconsin (13) #10 Wisconsin
#11 Oklahoma St. (52) #12 Michigan

Take from that what you must, but if K-State is "average," then the rest of the two leagues are quite poor.

What does last year have to do with K State this year? I don't know why there is so much K State love around here, I don't think they are gonna be a top 25 team and will be more of an average team Like Baylor and TCU last year.

KSU is Iowa in a different conference...or maybe a better Iowa because their lows aren't as low. They play tough, don't beat themselves, and rarely lose to teams they shouldn't. To think that KSU is going to be bad is wishful thinking just like thinking Iowa is going to be bad. Not while Snyder is still breathing.

ISU is going to have to turn around a culture of losing close games to go bowling this year. It's possible, but I don't think that many would be disappointed with 5-7. Their schedule probably won't be top 10 in the country, but there aren't a lot of cupcakes either. When you're not a great team, average opponents are tough to beat. They need to show progress of pulling a few of those out. Not that you care...you seem more interested in a troll fight with CyTwins.

My goodness. I'd defend them no matter who it was. You sound silly saying a 9 win team (who returns their QB, 4 out of top 5 rushers, 3 of top 4 receivers, 4 out of 5 OL and 8 defensive starters). Doesn't have anything to do with the fact that their name is Kansas St.

For example, Minnesota won 9 games last year. They return their leading rushers, a few out of their top receivers, 4 starting OL. However, they lose their QB and 6 defensive starters.

Will they win 9 again? Unlikely, but they'll still be an above average team, IMO.
