Such a cool voice.
Newborn whippoorwills were calling from the hills
More doo-wop. I love this version!
"There'll be bluebirds over the white cliffs of Dover"
Another doo-wop that does a familiar song.
More well known for their up-tempo take on Blue Moon. This is more traditional doo-wop style.
And "Birds fly over the rainbow."
I don't think this has been posted yet...
Some might think named after the car model, but not. The bird...
Somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly. If birds fly over the rainbow, why or why can't I?:
I see Mean Dean beat me to the song but I kinda expect that anyway.
I have a great live HD video of this song recorded from The Tonight Show complete with the full Large Band and chicken coop noises, but I'm sure YouTube would squash it as soon as I uploaded it. It's the one down below except with Lyle Lovett instead of the backup singer.
I do prefer this version though.
Love REM, hate this particular song...but try to beat "Swan swan hummingbird" as the opening three words in terms of bird-related.
Vaughn-Williams "The Lark Ascending"
Stravinsky "The Firebird"
I guess I don't know what category flying horses fall under, but
Wagner "Ride of the Valkyries"
Surprised this one hasn't come up yet (that I saw): Anne Murray's very first hit, "Snowbird," from 1970. It was a top 10 pop and country hit.
I took that off the board last night. Didn't want anyone else to suffer for doing it and you went and threw yourself on the grenade anyway making my previous selfless sacrifice in vain.
No Disco Duck yet?
Well, now is your chance!
