Hey fellas, I don’t post much in this thread but I will this one throw out there. I’m an ole punk rocker and a rock thread about outer space seems like it must have a place for a guy, Tom Delong, that like works full time now with a band on the side, Angels and airwaves, trying to find aliens. Yes I broke the rules because of no planet mention but still.

One of my favorite songs to this day, The Day The Rains Came performed by Jane Morgan. The qualifying reference is in the second line:
The day the rains came,
Mother Earth smiled.

I was going to post a very poor copy of the song being performed by Jane with Louis Armstrong and Les Brown and his band of renown but the video and sound quality is too poor; great performance though.

I think you guys left the easy one for me, The Planets suite by Holst. If you have an hour or so, enjoy: Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupitor, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

Reminder, from the topic intro.

Right now we are just looking for planets. Later, we will have a Part 2 with a focus on Sun and Moon.

Posts so far that don't follow that, no big deal. Reiterating in case people didn't catch the introduction.

Carry on. :)
