This is the opposite concept: Songs that contain lyrical excerpts or rhyming couplets/combos you find inspiring, compelling, clever, thought-provoking, amusing (in a positive sense), memorable … or something you like “just because it sounds good.”
Basic guidelines:
- We prefer to keep the references brief: stick to a line or two, perhaps a verse or chorus … not the entire lyrics.
- No requirement that it contains a rhyme, but “good/unique rhyming” counts for a lot.
- Multiple excerpts from the same song are allowed, as you see fit. You may cite a song already posted, as long as you specify a separate lyric.
- Encouraged: Describe WHY you like the lyric.
- Along with your clip, include approximate point in the song when it occurs.
