I just received my NCC B12 Tournament tix form. If I donate at the Varsity level should I assume that there is no way I'll get tix through ISU? I'm guessing that's the case but don't know for sure.

If so, what are my other alternatives to get tix?

I really think with only 1,000 tickets they will be gone probably by the time they get to Gold, but I am not sure.

In the past when it is in KC you can get tickets from the Texas schools if they are struggling.

You will have very little trouble, if you pay face, getting scalped tickets around the arena for the first two rounds because there are other teams that are not playing in that seesion. If you go with someone that has tickets, I have found that you can trade tickets for the Iowa State session with people that paly in the other session of the day.

The biggest problem sometimes in Kansas City is that there are so many Iowa State fams you are competing with it can get hard, particularily if Iowa State is playing in the same session as Missouri and Kansas.

It is a new arena, so I am not sure how big it is or whether they will be selling SRO tickets like they used to at Kemper.

Plenty of time to worry about it.

I know it sounds crazy, but Ebay works. You can find tickets after the sessions are announced. I know for the Big 10 tourney it was pretty easy to get tickets (I live in Chicago, which is why I was checking). It is worth a look if you have nothing by the time things are announced. It also is worth a look, because if you don't find anything you like or is fair, you can always move on.

That's what we're planning on doing. Back in 2000 (the year we won?), I knew of plenty of people who went down Saturday and got tix from people after the semis - who's team had lost. A co-worker got 8 rows behind the ISU bench for the championship for a bargain.

If that doesn't work - Kelly's will do fine.

Priority needs to be hotels for those staying.

I donate cardinal, I have never been denied away tickets when I request them. But I have never tried the big12 bball tourney. Heck I have never been there.

We really want to go this year and got the same form. Right now we're at Century/Varsity. So as I read it, sounds like we won't likely get tickets.

Guess we'll have to look for the other avenues.

The problem is if you order tickets from Iowa State you have to buy the whole package several months ahead, and if they lose on Thursday, and you do not want to stay, you have to sell the rest, which is usually harder to do at face or better after a session than before a session.

If I plan on going to a few days worth of games I will buy them from ISU and sell what I do not use, otherwise I get down there early and buy them on the street.

As Daddy Mac said, the best way to scalp tickets when we win is before you leave the arena after the win. And buy some for your friends back in Iowa because they will call you and expect you to find them since you are already down there!

For what it is worth, back when it was at Kemper my dad would order tickets through ISU. He was a at the Captain's level and was still always in the upper deck. So chances are if you at a lower donation level you don't have much chance....
