It’s clear that CMC puts the offensive play callers in a box they can’t succeed in. Look at Manning. Look at Nate, leaving for a job in the NFL sure but not a big-time one. Great excuse for him to move on and do his own thing. And now Mouser gets de-clawed. For all the good CMC brings it is clear that he is beyond conservative on offense, he is regressive.

Well, gonna have to win the conference for any chance at the playoffs. Two more things ISU has literally never done.

Granted given how the team has looked, was probably always true. Gonna drop into the 20’s at the highest.

Had the lead and thought our D would hold them. Throw that in with all the penalties, fumbles, and bonehead calls and it’s tough to overcome.

At least one completely inexplicable, inexcusable loss every year. It’s way better than it used to be, so I guess we should be thankful, but don’t expect anything different. Two f’n weeks and this is how they play. Oh well, see you in Memphis (again).

I think there's some fairness to that.

But the disappointing part is - there are a lot of other mediocre teams out there. We're not WAY worse than other mediocre teams floating around the top 10 - 25. That's why ya just HAVE to win these games. So what if we're NOT actually a "great" team. So what if an 8-0 record would be inflated. No one else is more deserving. Ya just have to win these.
100% agree with you but mediocre shouldn’t put you at #11.

Man the coaching staff has a lot to answer for today on the offensive side of the ball.

I said in some other thread that ISU needed to stick with the basic 'needed' plays even if Tech's D was bad and they didn't do that. Tried to go too big too much or just got out over their skis on several drives.

This coaching staff really let this team down. Two weeks to prepare against a terrible TTech team and this is what we bring to the table. Don’t get me wrong, I’m fine with. 7 wins a year as long as they stop asking me to donate even more every year than I already do.
Yeah, very poorly prepared. You just can't keep continue to not be ready to play, hope to gid to pull out a miracle and win. We just aren't aggressive enough.

Bullcrap, we beat ourselves.
We are going down hill each week. Defense needs to improve dramatically. Clanton really has not made a huge improvement in the line, subbing out best players too much and play calling is very erratic.

I know in the moment people are angry and bitter as I'm too but a bigger picture needs to be looked at to.

We took the field in November as one of 7 undefeated teams remaining.

We have won despite a ton of injuries.

Anyone on this board would of signed up for what we had going into today.

There is still plenty this team can still accomplish that past teams haven't done.
