When you hold an opponent to 31% shooting you will win most of them.
Even when you shoot a pedestrian 45%

Can anyone imagine how much zone we'll see when they take a look at our 3pt percentage? Yikes.

Yep, Solo did his thing tonight. Jacobson seemed quiet. Big George brining the shot alteration and blocking game tonight.

Please, let this team get hot in the tourney, in particular against Michigan.

If we can get in the high 20s low 30s for 3pt%, this team will be a tough out.
going into tonight they were around 32%, last years team for the season was around 36.5%

Tonight's performance will drag them down some but it really is not that different of a start vs last year..
Last year during this time in November the 3 games 3PT shooting percentage Mizzou 32%, Texas Southern 30%, Arizona 16.7 %

Even that 16-17 had some bad shooting performances in November
Mt St Mary's 25%
Savannah St. 30%
Indiana St 32%

I don't think this team has as high of upside from 3 as a couple of those above, but not going to panic about some bad shooting early on.

Seems to be kind of a Prohm team trend.

Probably been stated somewhere already, but it appears Nixon will be the obligatory CF punching bag this season. Already compared to Beverly.
Personally, I like his defense and ball-handling and have a hard time seeing why his shooting is more critiqued then all our other brick layers.

For me, too many of the 3's that Bolton and Nixon took just had bad form or not shooting in rhythm. Bolton jumps towards the basket with a lot of his three's. We did better also when it was a catch and shoot three as opposed to the "I'm wide open from 27 feet out maybe I should shoot it instead of look for a better shot" three.

Good points and it is too early to react to "small sample size theater".

For reference, the 2018 team was 29/98 (29.6%) in 3 pt FGs after 4 games. Through 4 games, the 2019 team is 28/103 (27.2%) 3 pt FGs.

ISU has capable shooters. It will just take some time before players figure out roles and the offense gets in a flow. Usually non-conference tourneys are where you really get to see the ceiling (or floor) of a team.
