I love Fred, but he deserves the blame for this loss in my opinion. He kept drawing up plays for Niang even when it was clear UAB was giving him trouble, and to sit BDJ in favor of a struggling Naz is head scratching.

BDJ shouldve got playing time in the second half. This was an all-around lose by everyone part of that team.

I agree that you could see this coming from awhile back. George had a bad day, but he had 3 or 4 guys on him and took away about everything he did. Ashamed that we couldn't come up with some other plays other than just let him pound it into the middle..... But, this game was lost because of many factors. Most of them is called basic skills, like being able to guard some one and blocking out on rebounding. Why is it that we always get blocked out on screens and loose our man but other teams just go thru or around our screens. They can drive but we must turn and twist and loose the ball when we do it. Then one other thing is free throws. The other team seems to be able to go to the line and make theirs and we generally miss more than we should.

Not playing Edozie for rebounding was a joke of a coaching move. Pathetic.

This was hard to take. Just have to remember we aren't Iowa blow-face self-destruct fan so having some integrity without yelling at each other is important.
- I'm sure those guys feel horrible for playing so bad today. No excuse for getting destroyed on the boards. As far as Georges,....His head was in LaLaLand today. Fred probably should of got someone else in for him. He was a total mess today. Such a slow methodical game and we got sucked right into it. Embarrassing is what that was. -
Congrats to UAB for the win and very proud of the year we had. * (Reminder to self) Give Georges a tweet of encouragement today and remind him of how proud I am of him and the team, he might need it.

Humility...good lesson for next year's team. Stay humble, don't buy the hype.

Naz, where have you been buddy?!! 2-9 and a chance to be the hero....

Naz has been terrible since about mid-January. All I can think is the hip is worse than we know. He is supposed to be our key defender and 3 point assassin and he has been neither.

I like the posters who say they saw this coming all year. What the hell does that even mean? Are you not aware of all the games they won? So when they're beating Kansas, you're thinking "They might be beating Kansas, but they will lose in the first round of the tournament! All that hustle, points, and defense can only lead to bad things!"

Game was lost by rebounding and not boxing out which is sad. Unlike a lot of other problems, that's easily fixed by just playing your *** off. Dissapointed in not just the loss, but the way it happened.

Almost, but I say not quite as bad as Hampton. On that level though.

Good! You like me. I did watch all their games this year. We REALLY lost some games we shouldn't have (like this one) and played just well enough to win in others.

Final Four talent NIT heart.

What the freak was Georges thinking most of this game. Just like the @Baylor game when he decided to "win it" himself when he had 3 guys open...

"I'll just drive into 3 trees and hope for a foul"...

STUPID.
I hope we have a different go to guy next year. I think every one has Niang figured out.

What is sad is that the next time I get to see the team play is here in Sioux Falls, Nov. 13.

Was hoping for 3 more games at least in march...:(

Because you know someone won't get it and go overboard with us:
HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU COMPARE US TO DUKE AFTER LOSING THAT GAME?!?!?!?!?!?!
I think it was a response to who else has lost to a 14 or 15 seed. I know Syracuse has been upset quite a bit over the years. That is the life of a team that gets to the tourney year in and year out as a high seed. They will get upset from time to time. The object is to keep getting there, fighting through it and hanging a banner. We as fans, and more importantly the players need to understand and get use the the fact. We have a target on our backs. We are a national story. That comes with being mentioned in the same breath as the blue bloods. Be happy, get use to it.
