These kind of losses suck. Overall good effort, but something as simple as free throw shooting cripples you. Sadly, it will be like this a lot for the rest of Big 12 play.

I just dumb founded on the fact we lost this game at the free throw line. Royce should be ashamed of himself on the free throw line.
Its been a long time since you could say Hilton had the Magic. I was there when Johnny first got to town and the magic was being born. This team reminds me a lot of that team during this game. We maybe dont have as much talent but we just hung with the no.9 team in the nation. Magic may not be back but I think its getting close.
Royce should shoot it underhand. Why the heck do we go to the 2-3 zone and give up the open 3?? that baffles me. We also seemed to forget about White on the post or wing. Scotty was hot and should've had more looks. Babb and Scotty need to take away from CA's shots.

We didn't play awful, yeah we did some things you can't do, and didn't do it long enough. But Missouri had a lot to do with our offensive struggles.
Defensively we are getting much better, still get lost sometimes but much much better recently. Offensively we are better, but a long way to go there still.
KU will beat us, although we might actually match up with them better than Missouri, then we have to make a run, schedule gets much easier and then hope to get a signature win at home against Baylor or KU later on.
2-2 start is not a disaster at all.

Yeah. I think ISU showed they're a capable team. Just need to hit some shots, and for God's sake make a few free throws.
Definitely frustrating because of that, but it was nice to watch a talented team.
Like I have said before. Free throws, rebounding, lazy defense. ISU missed 11 free throws tonight, were out-rebounded badly by a much smaller opponent, and gave up easy bunnies.....again. Can't win that way.

Does the ISU athletic department lock up the video footage of ISU's games and not let Coach Hoiberg anywhere near it? Even the announcers tonight could easily see the terrible way Allen shoots free throws. He's been practicing with ISU for a year-and-a-half now, Hoiberg couldn't improve his shooting fundamentals in all that time?
Going zone was a horrible idea, I think he was trying to protect Royce since he was struggling guarding that guy. That said, I do not expect Freddie to be perfect at this stage in his career. We are getting there, that first half we looked like a really well coached team.
