Only because previously the Covid exception needed to account for his clock starting in juco.

With this ruling, couldn’t one argue now his juco year never counted or started the NCAA clock, therefore 2020-21 at Buffalo is his Covid season (and didn’t count)?

It may not be Jones, but given the money many players in his situation could make with another season, I expect those in their final year because of their clock starting in juco will be challenging the NCAA

Assuming that COVID year was 19-20 and he head no redshirts in there then yes, he is done.
For BB the Covid year is 2020-21, as that was the reduced season with limited attendance. The 2019-20 season was completed except postseason when Covid impacted.

I agree Jones has used four non covid years. But the way NCAA has become so spineless I’m not discounting any possibility

Curtis jones
2019-20 Indian hills
2020-21 buffalo
2021-22 buffalo
2023-24 ISU
2024-25 ISU

This is Curtis’ 4th year playing ncaa basketball. He’s done.

You are off by a year, what happened to 2022-23? He was at Indian Hills 2020-21 so I don't know if he can claim both Juco and Covid exemptions for the same year.

Just needs to find the right judge, which is pretty much any of them anymore

Hmm. Over Nojus? Heise?
Maybe, but don't see it, especially if Milan, Jackson and Jefferson all return.
I'll give it a maybe. From the video I've seen of him, he seems to have that KG dawg in him. He wants to score on every possession.

I think it'll come down to Nojus and Batemon for that pg/cg spot

I’ll just say if Heisenberg doesn’t start next year we’ll be absolutely loaded in the backfield.
Did you start drinking early in anticipation of this Iowa-Missouri bowl game? JK

Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Bateman is a shooting guard so he wouldn't be playing in the front court. I don't think he'd start over Heise but can see him replacing Jones' role coming off the bench. Then again, Nous could start and Heise retain his role coming off the bench. Having minimum drop-off from the starting rotation is a nice luxury to have as we're seeing this season. Let's hope we continue the over 80-pt streak vs. Colorado tonight.

Even though we start three bigs including Milan they rarely play more than 85 minutes a game. So the majority of the time we have a guard at the three. Maybe adding the German would change that next year but I think TJ prefers using guys that can pressure the wing.
