Evans: I’d have to side with Myles Stute. No, he is not a high-rising athlete or a giant for his position on the floor, but he is a competitive combo forward prospect that can do a litany of things.

Take for instance the NBPA Top 100 Camp earlier this month. Stute knew the platform that was presented for him with the college coaches being able to evaluate the event for the first time. He then went out and made a handful of catch-and-shoot jumpers, defended different positions and finished with sneaky athleticism at the basket. Because of it, his recruitment has blown up.

Within the past two weeks alone, Boston College, Iowa, Iowa State, St. John's, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt all have offered. Expect for Stute to trim his list after the Nike Peach Jam in a few weeks before then taking a handful of visits throughout the month of August which would lead to a signing in November.

@coreyevans_10 Really strong outing today by Trey Patterson. Head coaches from St John’s, Notre Dame, Seton Hall, Uconn, DePaul, Pitt and Iowa State were on hand for the top-50 sophomore, along with Myles Stute and Terrance Williams

Stute is starting to look like a new priority for ISU.

The native of Minnesota has always been a respected high major target but this month, Stute took things up another notch. He tweaked his jumper which is practically automatic now whenever his feet are set, but when he is not finding his prescribed mark, he remains active as a versatile defender that is willing to compete on each possession. Florida, Iowa State, Pitt and Virginia Tech are in the best spot for his commitment.

Piggy backing on the earlier thought premium info that I don't have access to but looks like Panthers, Cyclones, and Hokies are Stute's top 3 as of today. This is escalating quickly.
(not asking for anyone to read and share pay content just passing along the tweet).

@Rivals Gonzaga (DC) PF Myles Stute is hot after a big June. He discusses three leaders - #Pitt, #Cyclones, #Hokies - with @CoreyEvans_10: https://rvls.co/Stute0702

Seems like basketball recruiting has been pretty quiet for 2020 so far. I know we've been throwing offers out, but this feels like the most we've heard about a particular kid. Love seeing us in on summer risers though. Has a Zion Griffin feel.

I think part of not seeing more offers and names like past year is the staff has made major inroads and feels pretty good with early targets like for 2020 Foster, Carleson , Stone, Sibley, and Murrell.
I am sure there there will be some other late risers like Stute that pop on the radar and move up the priority ranks we can get excited about. There are only 3 scholarships for 2020 considering the young roster the staff can be selective this year on to recruit.

I may be missing something, but I think we only have 2 open 2020 Schollies without attrition.

Anyone know why Xavier Foster has 100% CB to Iowa? Including one just last week?
Because sheeple follow the flock and the first picks were for Iowa. And the pick last week was the Hawkeye Insider guy. Who do you think he will predict?

It's been rumored that he favored Iowa State over Iowa. If he stays n state he won't be a Hawkeye.

Yeah, I have read that too. But being one of the handful of teams he could possibly pick is why I said it wouldn't shock me. Just like if he picks Baylor it wouldn't shock me.
