Don't think so. Isaiah Moss is from Chicago, TJ is from Memphis. Maybe the family moved though.

Prohm had a Moss that played for him at Murray, but he wasn't from Memphis either. Apparently there are a lot of Mosses in the world.

It would great to snag a guy out of Memphis. Not an easy thing for ISU to do. We'd also get more attention from Gary Parrish since he's from there and follows local basketball there closely.

Looks like we offered TJ Moss back in July of 2015 and were one of the first schools to do so. Strength of his game seems to be perimeter shooting with deep range. I wouldn't call him crazy athletic or anything but he has good size for a shooting guard. Small is the lead recruiter on Moss according to 247. Included a link to one of his highlight tapes below.

Why would the son of one of the most distinguished athletes in Gophers history choose ISU over Minnesota if it came down to it?

The U of M has been recruiting Race for just as if not longer than ISU, yet in the interviews I have seen Thompson often mentions ISU/Staff as one that stands out above his other offers and during his visit he specifically mentioned how ISU fans treated the players as "Rock Stars" which impressed him. His skill set is almost perfect for Prohm's system too.

There is a ways to go in his recruitment but ISU is likely on the top of his list. I live in Minneapolis and the Gophers have been loosing basketball talent from the Twin Cities for a long time. That could be changing but it wouldn't be the first time.

One reason could be that there are significant players at his position on Gopher roster, and would possibly get less play time than if he was with ISU.

2018 target AJ Green went for 32 tonight in a 61-53 win over CR Kennedy. He started off 5-6 from three in the 1st quarter. Green went cold after that attempting a lot of tough mid range shots. He was able to get to the line in the second half where he knocked down 9 of 9 free throws. He's not quite strong enough yet to dominate a game in all phases, but his quick handle and smooth shot make him extremely difficult to defend.

Highlights from that game if anyone is interested:

Also goes to Memphis East, where Penny Hardaway took over a year or two ago and turned them in to an absolute dynasty.
