Mouser appears to have spent a lot of time on cute formations that get our freshman walk on involved but can't draw up plays to get Higgins and Noel going.
When are you people going to realize the OC isn’t the problem? This is the same offense, with the same schemes, with the same formations, that follow the same philosophies as every Campbell coached team. It’s Matt Campbell’s offense with someone running the plays he wants. You could put any Joe Schmo off the streets or Kyle Shanahan in that position and the same stupid offense with the same stupid plays would be called. Matt Campbell is the problem with the offense. Quit blaming the OC.

Even with k-state struggling today, if we lose this today I think that’s a wrap for the year.
7-0 start and 0-6 finish
The worst part? 0-6 against non ranked teams. Only ranked team played all year would be Iowa at the time. And we dodged playing the 2 best teams in the conference.

And if we really think about it we should have lost the UCF game .

And if anyone says the offensive line has improved again next year, please punch them

This sums up the entire night right here. Great post!

Aiden Flora has the exact same number of touches tonight as Higgins and Noel do. That's a travesty.

No shot against Flora at all.. it's not his choice... and he's a good player. But you HAVE to get your playmakers the ball... and not your 4th string walk on RB.

Our backup QB has touched the ball as much as Higgins and Noel too... and not by injury... by choice!

What’s the story on the field condition? It’s obviously falling apart and apparently it’s been known that the field is substandard and not just tonight.

There’s a spirit of innovation radiating from the Iowa State campus, just not from the football department.

That "spirit of innovation" that Iowa State rightly communicates needs to find it's way to the offensive play calling.

Yea the 4 years before that had zero to do with it, you are right
He regressed during his time in Ames. It was easy to see. Plenty of commentary about the private qb coach having to undo and change a bunch of stuff and he was visibly better after just a few months with that coach.

This team has no coherent plan or identity on offense. Let’s randomly run four ******* different RBs up the middles and fiddle **** around on third down is not a solid game strategy.

Was going to ask about this. We have 3 backs and hardly anything is open. What’s the reason for going to a true freshman there?

The crazy thing is most people think the OC runs the offense. How many OC under Campbell? And one year he tried it himself. It's a joke. Shades of BF.

It's well known that much of Brock's early success was due to the number of reps he got at Iowa State, so his time here definitely set him up well for the Niners.
