Wonderful. I usually say things like "just wait until we get them in Hilton" or "wait until KC".....but I do NOT want anymore of BYU.

We are 100% playing on Wednesday in KC regardless of any outcome of games this week. And by my calculations both isu and byu are locked in the 4/5 seeds so we will play winner of Utah and UCF at 11:00 am Wednesday then rematch byu Thursday.

Can BYU pass Tech or Zona? I want no part of them again.

I know we lost, but incredibly proud of the fight in our guys to get back into it when it looked like we were dead in the water.

The other side to this coin is it took being down 21 to show any fight. That's a huge, huge issue. They looked...disinterested...before that and then a switch flipped.

That's who this team is. They can play like a Final Four team in stretches and look like Prohm's last team for other stretches. They don't have a consistent bucket getter and it shows in ugly spots like trying to win games.

Played small & were severely out-rebounded. We switched everything, so when a shot went up we had no one blocking Keita out, someone was out of position, or it was a guard who was outmatched. Pick your poison

ya. that was a horrible matchup for going small against. Keita was impossible to guard. but Jackson and Chatfield werent doing **** against him either. and it was a lot of long and odd rebounds off 3 point attempts too.

All of them. Watch the huddle in a timeout. TJ stands back and observes. Schmidt has full control in those draw ups

You can nickel and dime certain plays down the stretch, but those didn't lose this game. Nor did they lose the Kstate and OKstate games. The Jekyll and Hyde effort this team has given at times, especially on offense, is just puzzling. This is who this team is. So good when they want to be, but just extremely inconsistent. We had a size advantage tonight, but sat 2 of our big men for the last 20 minutes because they were zeroes in this game. Chat and Jackson are good against teams with true posts like AZ, but can't compete against mobile athletic bigs.
I keep going back and comparing this team to Fred's last team. So good when they wanted to be, and very talented, but they had so many lazy stretches where they got down double digits in so many games. Bit them when it counted most against 14 seed UAB in the tourney.

Yep. It's hard not to do so, but trying to recreate scenarios of "what if" with this team can be maddening, and not really diagnostic. The reality is what you stated. Wild inconsistency.

Yeah this lineup is our best and it’s not close. Only issue is we’re gonna give up a lot of rebounds this way but offensively it’s about our only chance since Jackson/Chat add about nothing and while Heise has turned a corner he’s not a huge threat either. I’d still love to see Watson more purely because he’s athletic and is a good rebounder imo.

Actually. Yes. Root for asu to comeback in the game going on right now and beat Arizona. Then Arizona has to lose to Kansas Saturday. BYU has to beat Utah. And we have to beat Kansas state. All those things happen and we are the 4 and byu is the 3 and Arizona would be 5

He had that guy in the shot fake, should have driven and hit a midrange jumper

i dont know what you guys are so mad about. TJ finally committed to playing small for a whole 10:00 minutes of the second half and 2 OTs. its this teams best lineup and it should be obvious to all the staff at this point. they gotta play small a lot going forward. JJ is way more lethal at the 5 than the 4.

it sucks to lose but i think the team turned a corner in the second half.

Except we got out rebounded by 28
