Glad to see some rational thoughts in here the past couple of pages. I definitely couldn't do what CW and Blum do, constantly hearing crazy emotional, over the top takes from a very vocal minority the second things don't go exactly the way we want them to. The rational side of me knows those fans aren't indicative of the entire fan base, but when you get hit with it over and over again, it would drive me crazy. I generally avoid this place after losses because of this.

I think CW's post on X after the game was a middle finger to the crazies in our fanbase, not the passionate, yet rational majority. Talking about what's going wrong with our team (ahem...turnovers) and screaming for a guy to shoot the ball when he's open (thank you Heise!) doesn't make you a bad fan. Insinuating we need a coaching change, saying our rotation players aren't D1 talents, etc. does make you a really dumb fan though.

Didn't notice as much during the game but my gawd there are like 30 differnt shades of gold in the crowd lol. There is no standard shade of gold in ISU merchandise, even one guy wearing neon green behind the Arizona bench but that's a different story.

At least we finally got the crowd to do color games lol.

The Williams and Blum pod is the best thing I listen to each week.

My constructive feedback is that CW tends to apply the overly emotional or fanatic 5% to the rest of us and it gets annoying. It listens like Chris is the one who can tell fans what they should and shouldn’t be talking about. Like why can’t fans rationally talk about Heise’s production (so awesome to see him rebound from last month) or Watson’s minutes or why TJs teams tend to hit a February lull? But Chris often blows those things up to the point where it sounds like he’s condescending to fans. Just like his tweet last night - 5 mins after a big win, he throws out a TJ defense tweet which seems like he’s trying to dunk on fans. Why? We are all in this together…

Why give the loud and obnoxious the platform and why not talk directly with the rational fans? We are all prone to being overemotional (it’s why we are fans and why we buy tickets and donate money) but have noticed Chris almost seems bitter towards fans lately. I’m probably reading into it too much but, again, want to provide the constructive feedback. Keep up the good work and glad our guys got a much needed Top 25 win again.
CW is clearly listening to the Gen Z ISU burners on twitter. Unfortunately, they drive a lot of the conversation. It's one of the worst developments in ISU fan discourse because you used to be able to talk with reasonable fans and not spoiled 22 year olds who think they're entitled to perfection when they've grown up in the golden age of ISU sports.

Noticed this for the Color it Cardinal game too, love how the 4 shirts for $40 Juice Box the AD sells has bright red.

CW has always been a soapbox guy.

After a big win he chooses to use straw mans and battle minority views. It does nothing but flame and amplify any vitriol sentiment on the season

Yeah the new burner accounts that have popped up over the past couple years trying to emulate accounts like Cyclone Larry and end up just having the most idiotic takes and attack our own players. You can tell they're college age children.

Glad they're calling them out, unfortunately Twitter now promotes that type of behavior and accounts.

A lot of them are awful and at least one of them spews out anti-semitic bile

I didn't want to bring politics into it but yeah that's partially why I get annoyed with them lol. Really shows how far to the right young men have moved the past few years. Too much time listening to certain comedians podcasts has rotted many a brain.
