Saw another crazy Tiger stat earlier. He's notably "struggled" here since he's only won twice. Still, no one has a better cumulative score at TPC than he does since 2000.

Not much scoring happening in the afternoon rounds. Phil just hit his second on the par 5 9th into the stands. Bounced out and is now sitting against the curb of a cart path. Classic Phil.
Wow, Speith & Thomas together as the 2nd pair starting 8:20 and Tiger follows shortly after at 9am.
Yeah, who would want to watch that grouping, right? I mean, what have those 3 ever done? Fowler not as much as Phil and Tiger of course, but he's probably the most popular golfer out there among the 10-30 year old crowd.
I'm sure you'd rather watch the group of Scott Brown, J.J. Spaun, and Ryan Blaum... am I right?
I tend to agree that Tiger gets way too much coverage, but it is what most of the people want to see, so that's what they show.
Now, with all that being said, I don't like these "super groups" they come up with. It's not good for the fans at the event at all. You have 90% of the people there following 2 groups, and you can't even get close to them. Why not spread the stars out, and therefore spread the fans out on the course too?
Spieth seems to have finally gotten the hang of Sawgrass. See if Simpson can come anywhere close to his amazing round yesterday.

Well, all you could watch were those three and two other groups yesterday morning.
Someone needs to go out in 30 or so and Simpson needs to shoot something over par. I just don't see it. Webb Simpson isn't a guy who collapses. I just think tomorrow is going to be really uneventful.
I hope he goes low again and gets to -22 or -23. Kinda doubt it tho. Lots of pars, a few birdies on the par 5s and a few bogeys. Probably needs to shoot even or so.
I’m looking forward to them moving on from Phil and Tiger.
Personally, I could tolerate more Ricky and Reed coverage. Spieth and Thomas would be OK too.
