Didn’t get to watch until the 7th. Nice job bullpen.

And thanks Twins for the 2 W’s

Fly it! That was a very fun game to watch tonight. Pitching (minus 1st inning) and defense were fantastic. Managed to execute to score some runs and not just rely on the long ball. And Joe made all the right moves tonight. And Cards lost today so even better.

Baez is a pretty slick fielding 3rd baseman too.

Gives us some flexibility if Bryant needs an off day or you want LaStella, Zo, or Happ at 2nd and Bryant in the OF.

Len and JD are talking about it now but Caratini is making it very hard to sit him right now. Unfortunately he can really only play two positions and Rizzo/Contreras deserve not to be in platoon situations. Curious to see what happens

I didn’t realize Caratini can’t speak a bit of English. He’s been pretty solid at the reserve role this year.

Lol first time I've heard him talk too and that threw me off. He just looks like a guy that could speak English just fine

The Orioles could really use a catcher...

Eh, I dont know. 3 more years of Russell vs Machado most likely being gone after this year. I can see both sides of that argument.

Russell is a mid tier player at best - Very solid defense but his offense is pretty underwhelming... I doubt that Russell alone would be enough and I'd rather not loose Happ, Almora, and/or Schwarber in a trade for a potential rental.

The Cubs need to find a way to: 1) convince MLB to add the DH for Schwarber (This is absolutely astonishing that MLB hasen't done this already to increase offense), 2) Dump Heyward and his MISERABLE contract for a box of cracker jacks, 3) Buy Harper with the Heyward money! Pitching is all signed thru 2020 unless Yu opts out of his deal if I remember correctly..

I'd love to see KB moved to LF in most lineups and the defense look like this for 2019: LF: Bryant, CF: Almora/Happ, RF: Harper, 3B: Baez, SS: Russell, 2B: Happ/Zo, 1B: Rizz, DH: Schwarber and C: Contreras

That team would be anticipated to win 95+ with average pitching

Figured he would turn into a solid player.

He was definitely going to get quite a few chances to try, he looks so good at times that he just teases with that potential, lots of GM's would take a shot on a guy like that. He looked like one of the best hitters in the MLB in the 2015 NLDS, and small sample sizes and all apply, but dominating a playoff series does carry some value. Not like you're teeing off against back end starters and bad bullpens in late July.
