18 games without a flight coming up starting this weekend.

Including 3 against the Brewers who also have to go to Washington to play 3 before the calendar turns to August. If the pitching matchups hold, they will have to face Scherzer and Gio in DC.

The Cubs will be in first place when July ends.

At this rate, it may happen before this week ends. Never the less, the Brewers have 3 in Washington before the host the Cubs next weekend. While the Cubs play the Cards and Sox. Id be somewhat shocked if the Brewers were in first place at the end of July.

The Brewers get help with 3 more against Philly over the weekend so I do not think that is likely.

Phillies gave them all they could handle in Milwaukee last weekend. If the Brewers lose the next two, and the Cubs win today, they are 1 GB going into the weekend.

Well, now maybe everybody can stop wringing their hands trying to figure out who gets moved when Hendricks comes back. Glad that's all worked itself out.

Dang, didn't want to miss that.

Is he about hitting his limit for today's pitching effort?
I guess Monty was outhitting the Braves until this double. That's all right.
Grimm got up in the bullpen after he got in a little jam but got a big K and then got Dickey to ground out to get out of it. He's only at 69 pitches so I could see him going at least one more inning
