This guy's strike zone is awful. Sees a pitch in the exact same spot two pitches in a row, and the count is 1-1. Then the next pitch is completely over the plate with room the spare, and the count goes 2-1.
It's been bad both ways, but Jesus, that's terrible.

I've only seen half the game so far, but I agree he has been terrible. Terrible both ways so a wash I guess.

Yeah it's not been an advantage for either team. Just hard to believe a strike zone can be so bad at the Major League level.
Insane. I was just hoping for a split coming into this series after looking at the pitching matchups.
I definitely was hoping for 3 of 4, but I would have gladly taken a split.
This is ridiculous. The Nationals and Pirates are both two of the best teams in baseball, and they lost 3 straight to Chicago when they were riding some serious hot streaks (8-2 L10 for Pittsburgh, 5-1 against St. Louis and KC for Washington) coming into their series with the Cubs. Things like that just don't happen very often, and the Cubs are making it look easy.
Haven't been able to watch nearly as many games so far as I was hoping coming into the season. Good news is it doesn't seem like I'm missing much. These guys have been ok so far but they're nothing special obviously.

Another win...on a side note, I hate it when a person blows a save then gets the win. Seems unfair.
The pitcher win is a dumb statistic, and the thing you just described is just one reason why.
