Is there a list somewhere of games that will be broadcast in Des Moines? I have mediacom and never know what games will be on.

Wonder who replaces Schwarber on the roster? Doesn't sound like Baez is ready yet, and the Cubs don't have a ton of position player options. I'm guessing Kawasaki or Alacantara.

Sounds like the MRI will also look at his knee as it was sore and tight last night...
Yeah lot of talk about the ankle last night, but I'm afraid the knee might turn out to be the major issue. Lets hope for the best on that MRI today.

I missed the discussion yesterday about Wrigley experiences. I've been to two games.

The first I don't remember much except for the cubs winning.

The second was on August 18th, 2002. In this particular game, Sammy Sosa collided with Mark Bellhorn during a pop fly. He then missed the next 9 games with back problems that gave him periodic troubles for the rest of his career. But hey, the cubs won.

Missed the in person record discussion. I've lost track but I think I'm at 8 games in Wrigley and only seen them lose twice (maybe three there was one I was in the right field bleachers and drank so much I couldn't read Sosa's name - but I'm pretty sure they won that).

Only two loses I saw were 1) Mark Grace's return to Wrigley 2) the game that Milton Bradley forgot how many outs there were and flipped the ball into the crowd with two outs after grandstanding. I was with a church group on that one and might have yelled some things my pastor had to talk to me about later.

I guess I'm pretty lucky with live attendance game. ISU was 5-0 in my first 5 games which mostly came in the Walden years and included the Marv Seiler game.

195 pitches by Arizona last night, 125 by the bullpen. The Cubs are going to wear team's bullpens out this year, especially in a four game set like this. Keep getting there early, and racking up the pitches.

Sounding like there is quite a bit of concern on Schwarbers knee today.

Yep, I think the team knows it's bad news but just waiting for MRI to confirm. I fear an ACL announcement is coming later today.

If it winds up being worst case with Schwarber, I'll be very sad that I won't be popping Schwarboners all summer but this team can kick plenty of *** without him. Crazy to think that losing a player like him sucks but might not have a huge impact on the season. If we had a Schwarber who went down a few years ago, the tiny shred of hope we had would have been lost completely. We're really ******* good.

They can certainly absorb the loss. Injuries are going to happen, but it sucks losing a starting quality player in game 3. Big hit to the depth.

Sources tell ESPN's Buster Olney that there's a lot of concern within the organization that Kyle Schwarber's injury is serious, and there is a lot more concern over his knee than the ankle. Schwarber is scheduled for an MRI in a couple of hours.

It won't impact the Cubs a lot (maybe a two win difference between him a Soler) but if he's out for the year it sucks for him in terms of development.

Yep, I'm trying to look on the bright side that there will be more at bat's available for Soler and Javy now which will help with their development. Both of those guys have a less than stellar recent injury history, though Javy's seem much more like a fluke than any disturbing trend.

Soler could be Junior Lake 2.0. Guy needs to start ramping up the production
