Has anyone else looked at the number replies to a thread and come up with a relationship correlating to how far off the original thread topic.

Usually if there are more then 15-20 replies to a thread it has digressed into a discussion of something unrelated to the original thread. i.e. Where the info was stolen from, Bashing the orignial post/poster, or unrelated discussion of other players, sports or teams not relating to original post...

Can we get a Stat Major to figure out a thereom to hown and when the chaos will begin in any particular post.

That would mean each thread would have to be analyzed as to know the exact post at which off-topicness occurred. But then we would need an actual definition of off-topicness. This could prove to be a headache.

I love that commercial with the two guys waiting for the pick-up basketball game.
"Nobody calls three seconds in pick-up game."
"Dr. Hoops does."

(I guess the answer to your question is 3 posts.)

Without a stat degree. I would guess that the third reply is where the thread goes off topic.

Oh, and did you hear? If the Bears win the Super Bowl. Lovie Smith is retiring and Coach Mac is the front runner to replace him!

Also adding to my Thread Chaos Theory. The longer the thread goes and the more off-topic it gets the longer it takes for it to die and stop popping up on the front page.

The Nature Boy Ric Flair is 16-time heavyweight champion.
In Mike Smith's personal bio, he is a relative of Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Maybe we can use Hacksaw in the paint as an enforcer!!

With each blocked shot or rebound, Duggan gives the thumbs up sign and screams, "Hooooooo!!!". "Hoooo" Hilton Coliseum responds gleefully. Perhaps Duggan could use one of his five fouls by cracking Brandon Rush across the head with a 2x4 the next time that punk comes down the lane.

WHACK!! "Hoooo!"
