Damn was working on a fence this afternoon, the heat about got the better of me. Quit for the day and will try to hit it early a.m.
Went to both Pierre SD and Bismark ND last wk two more Capitols that I can say I've seen.
I never realized how much water there is in NoDak. It's way wetter than SDak both states were really green for being mid July.

Was digging in the garden and and having to use a mattock to get roots out. Was drippin' sweat. Took a 30 minute break to cool off and and drink a few glasses of water. Knocked off about 7:30. DND.
One word I couldn't have predicted to find on CF this morning... I guess I have learned my one thing today. Does that mean I can go back to bed?

Mattock is not in the photo but the axe is and the pile of red maple roots I had to dig out of my planting bed. I could hardly get the shovel into the ground the roots were so dense so had to get out the beast, the mattock. Crazy old man thought of the weekend, "Hey, it's 90 out, let's attack that spot of garden where the deer and rabbits ate all of my plants to the ground!"
Just opened side door and used a 8.5x11 sheet to herd a big daddy long leg spider outside. My payback from nature is now I have a fly in the house that got in through the open door.
Maybe you should start telling us before you start these death march activities in the heat and humidity. That way we know to come over and check on you if you don't check back in in a reasonable amount of time.
Besides that way the TC RTTers will have a head start on all of your stuff when you go...
Too bad you don't have a daddy long legs in the house to catch that fly...

Oh. My. Gosh. I just watched/listened to that at my desk. The interns are probably wondering why I turned down the volume from my typical podcast. This was the best!
Killed the fly but my swatting average for the summer took a big dive. It was buzzing around my deck door and had to go semi-auto to get it. Five rapid swats to get him. Terrible swatting!
