NO!!!! They make NO sense geographically. You have to drive through IL, IN, and OH just to get there. How much sense does that make?

Agreed. I just don't see WVU as a stability builder. After 5 years of the travel headaches and expenses, they'll be applying to the ACC.

ISU would play at WVU no more than once every two years. Not exactly a big deal.

Better than driving through Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma to get to games in Texas. I hate stops in Chicago.

It is not ISU traveling to WVU that will cause the problems. It is WVU traveling to everywhere else in the Big 12 that will eventually cause the problems (unless somebody gets added that is closer to them).

If this happens, I do think that Cinci and Louisville will be added as well, so it would be a little bit better geographically for them

Sucks for them, but look at a school like Hawaii who has to travel over 1,000 miles every time they play outside of HI. Also, I think that at least Louisville will be added before too long. It won't be quite as bad as it seems.

Cause travel matters.

Signed
Mizzou (who yes is about to join the Southeastern Conference. Missouri is neither South nor Eastern.)

There is going to be a breaking point coming pretty quick where these schools just aren't going to have any greener pastures to run to. I think pretty quick we're going to see a lot of schools in an ISU situation where maybe there's a better conference fit for them, but it's never going to happen. At some point conferences are going to hit their limit on member schools, and I'm pretty sure that the ACC will get there before they look at adding WVU.
