Ralphe Finnes has been mentioned, but I wanted to say him again because I thought he was perfect in The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Good call, I was gonna mention Sigourney.Natalie Wood - Splendor in the Grass
Sigourney Weaver - Aliens
Jessica Chastain - Zero Dark Thirty
Lauren Bacall - To Have and Have Not
Michelle Pfeiffer - Scarface
I considered her for Gorillas in the Mist.Good call, I was gonna mention Sigourney.
I think Jessica Chastain will win one soon enough, she's everywhere right now.
Brad Pitt has never won Best Actor (or Supporting) despite...
Se7en
12 Monkeys
Fight Club
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Inglourious Basterds
Moneyball
You would think him due at some point.
The Truman Show he was spectacular in his limited space
I have to agree with this. I actually thought she won for Zero Dark Thirty. Guess not.I have to vote for Jessica Chastain - even though her film career hasn't been exceptionally long (yet), she has undertaken a wide variety of roles and absolutely aced almost every one. I think of the contrast between her ditzy blonde in "The Help" and her steely resolve in "Zero Dark Thirty". One is never less than convinced of her roles, or her authenticity.
McDormand won in the Actress in a Leading Role category while Buscemi would be in Actor in a Supporting Role category.Supporting role
...
Steve Buscemi (Carl Showalter) “Fargo” (he wouldn’t have won it over Frances McDormand anyway).
I also think she could've won for Best Supporting Role in The Help. But idk if anyone could've beaten Octavia Spencer that year hahaI have to agree with this. I actually thought she won for Zero Dark Thirty. Guess not.
