Mark Farley was on the Morning Rush a few weeks back and said when Scott Frost was on the UNI staff (shortly after he left the NFL), he would step in as scout team QB if he didn't like the way the QB was handling it.

I liked Rhoads, but damn that staff had a miss on this guy.

Fair to wonder if he would have had the same success at ISU, though. When it comes to player development Snyder and Rhoads were on different planets. It's more likely that if Waters had come to ISU they would have found a way to ruin him like they did with Sam Richardson.

He wouldn't have with Mangino here. Not a single way in hell he knew how to use Waters. He would have been looked at like Richardson was.
