This has been announced for a few weeks but hadn’t seen it mentioned here yet. Sorry if I missed it.

His next film is a telling of Homer’s The Odessey.

Cast:

Zendaya
Tom Holland
Matt Damon
Charlize Theron
Anne Hathaway
Robert Pattinson
Jon Bernthal
Lupita Nyong’o
Isn't there another Odysseus movie coming as well? With Ralph Fiennes in the lead role?
Is Nolan doing another Prestige vs. Illusionist thing?

Personally, I think the Odyssey is a great setting for a film. There is plenty of meat on the bone there for storytelling.

I hope it has at least two awkward nude scenes and zero replay value

Looks cool. Reading about it looks like it's maybe a more realistic take with no Athena or Odysseus retelling the tales of his journeys and focuses on his challenge of the suitors and getting the kingdom back.

Madeline Miller writes about lesser known characters from Greek history. She teaches at NYU and has written two novels. The Song of Achilles and Circe, both are fantastic. It will be interesting to see if Nolan gives Circe time in his film.
