I don't really like Colin Cowherd. He is an arrogant pompous windbag, and he doesn't always make a lot of sense.

I'm not a big fan of Cowherd either... I will probably bounce between Rome and Kornheiser depending on Rome's guests. Anyone know what's on 2-4????

Nice to know that Cowherd is rambling about everything but sports.

I used to listen to Cowherd out in Vegas and didn't mind him for a while but then I kind of got sick of him. He kind of comes across as a sleazeball after a while. I oftentimes listen to 1430 out of Ames rather than Rome so I can't wait for that change.

Re: Could DSM be getting a second sports station?

I'd take Rome over Kornheiser any day of the week. Tony Kornheiser single handedly ruined MNF. He's just not funny. I'll agree that 1460 could use some competition...especially Cotlar. And as much as Jon Miller tries to be neutral, he just can't. I'd like to see a more Cyclone-slanted show opposite him...or at least a neutral show like Marty and Miller or Deace.

Are you kidding me? I'll admit Kornheiser isnt' a good announcer, but his show is patently awesome.

Kornheiser is no longer on ESPN. His show isn't even nationally syndicated outside of XM radio. It isn't so much of a sports show even anymore, as a variety show. Today's show was entirely about the Oscars, for example. I still laughed about 5 seconds into it, but it isn't what it used to be, and I'm glad for that.

You mean Jon Miller's "wrasslin' talk". I don't mind going to ISU wrestling meets but seriously, talking wrestling on the radio pretty much every single day?? Oh well, at least it gives us a break from the Drake talk!

I'd rather talk golf than talk men in tights groping one another, I mean wrestling.

Don't kid yourself, the only reason for the constant wrestling talk is that iowa is a NC favorite. If iowa and ISU were switched around, there would be a lot less wrestling content on that show.

I kinda disagree on the roles being reversed if ISU was #1. Miller seems to genuinely get excited about wrestling no matter who he's talking about. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Am I happy that Iowa is back on top in wrestling? No doubt about it.

Do I pay attention to every single ISU dual meet? No doubt about it.

I was driving home from Illinois on Sunday, and listened to the Iowa broadcast. When I got back into town, and after I spent time with the fam and got Grace to bed, my first call was to Scott Casber to tell me what happened between ISU and Nebraska.

I love the sport. I have the greatest amount of respect for Cael and am stoked every time I get to interview him.

And I want Iowa to beat ISU every time they take the mat against one another. After that, I want ISU to win all of their meets.

You can call me a lot of things, but disingenuous is not one of them.
