He looks like a real difference maker. I'd definitely expect him to have a big senior year and possibly move to a 4 star kid. I think this staff likes to get in early on guys that some other programs may see as lost causes or would prefer to take the 'wait and see' route. Hopefully O'rein knows the staff took a chance on him and they can maintain the relationship.

If we have a good season go to a bowl game etc I think we keep him, the promise of what's building at ISU will be more appealing than the stale Iowa program. If we lose him I bet it is to Michigan state, Michigan or one of the other elite schools in the big ten or SEC.

Lol. And what atmosphere might that be? Running out of an inflatable helmet with a smoke machine? Playing an obnoxious siren twenty times a game? Chanting after every first down like a high school team? You can't be serious, man.
several years ago I agree, Kinnick was probably a better atmosphere.

You're a lot like the fanbase down there. Entitled, arrogant, ignorant, bandwagon.

You realized Kinnick never sold out last year? An historic saturday in Sept. 2015, where ISU and Trice held 61,000 fans for a home game--- to Kinnick's 57,000? the media downplayed this of course.

The vibe at Trice is vastly improved, and a lot of fun. Kinnick? Full of entitlement and drunkenness throughout the stands.

There are 10x as many Hawk fb fans in this state vs ISU fb fans--most self-described Hawk fans proved last year they stay away when ticket prices go up @ Kinnick

I agree. I mean ISU has these fans that actually show up for games... idiots. They cheer during the game....like fools. At least know how to be real fans ISU. Having a full tailgating area with wall to wall fans having a good time is the epitome of small time football.

When will isu fans ever figure it out? In the mean time we Iowa fans will only show up to games here and there. Enjoy a terrible tailgating environment in someone's backyard. Brag about beating horrible teams before getting steam rolled. Put up some new high school lights around our stadium. And tell you how you being the biggest university in the state by a good margin makes you little brother. Oh and we'll also throw in some made up entrance requirement numbers that get called out by the uni president as being bogus while we accept our partial qualifiers into our athletic programs.

Just wait, Iowa will get back to being Iowa and have a sold out stadium next year. You watch. Who cares if it's really not sold out. We have lied about it for years in the past. Time to get back to being a true hawkeye.

LOL. little brother hawks. You make me laugh.

I just read that season football tickets are going up at Kinnick. 2.5% for renewals, 5% for new buyers.

As opposed to a school whose fans do the Gator chomp? Yeah pretty original

Lol whats building? Ill give Campbell credit, he's hit the ground running, but c'mon, he's been on the job for fourth months. The only thing he has to sell is early playing time. Also, if you call an undefeated regular season, and a trip the rose bowl stale, then by all means.

Never change, cyclonefanatic. Never change.

I suppose its appealing to play a garbage schedule, have a miracle season once every 10 years and then get exposed as the fraud team that you are when you actually play teams with a pulse.

Yeah, because averaging a 35% win percentage a year is so much more enticing than going to bowl games, and once in a while, having a really good season. Was the schedule weak? Sure, but go around and ask EVERY kid in the country what they would rather do- Win 3-4 games against a difficult schedule, or 10 against an easy one. But hey, a storms brewing, and facilities, right? Not Iowas fault the other teams in the west suck

Iowa has lower academic standards because the big ten allows partial qualifiers. Iowa fans claim they limit the number at Iowa but I have yet to see that in writing and have asked where I can find that many times.

D UP: Do you have some authority for this? I'm not saying you are wrong, because I don't know, and I've tried to get the answer to standards for schools and conferences, to no avail. I do know that programs within a conference can set whatever higher standards they want, and that for example NW and Wisc have standards clearly higher than NCAA or B10 minimums. It's well documented that HC Anderson left Wisc for Oregon State, in part because he was not allowed to sign marginal recruits that went elsewhere, including KState. It's also fact that the B12 signs significantly more Jucos than other Power 5 conferences. Each program is different, regardless of conference minimums.

No, he doesn't. He's wrong.

As opposed to playing at a 2/3rds full stadium despite your team being undefeated for the first time in school history?
