Short tenure you just described Saben's head coaching career.

I know Saban from his 5 years at LSU. I think he was at Michigan State for 6 years (I might be wrong about that by a year). He was with the Dolphins for only 2 years but you just don't have the control in the pros as HC that Nick desires.

Bottom line is that if I had to choose a coach for my college FB program it would be Nick Saban above anyone else. He is a winner. He does it the right way...he recruits decent kids that are quality players, he boots kids if they don't do right, he demands they work towards their degree, and he wins championships with his coaching.

seeing some of the names batted around, a lot of you seem to think our best coaching options are to always hire former hawkeyes...what is with this?

1 year at Toledo, 5 at Michigan State but who am I kidding if he wanted to come to ISU for a couple of years you wouldn't here me complaining. He wouldn't back down from Ferentz on in-state recruiting.

It better be someone who is proven. I am tired of these coaches getting big bucks to not produce here of late. We cyclone fans have done enough screw the hope we need wins.
