Need to buy a new monitor for the in-law's computer. Because of how they have their computer set up, the monitor has to sit on the counter right behind the keyboard, so it's kind of like sitting in the front row of a movie theater when looking at it.

I've been pondering how big of a screen we can get them, without it being too big because you're sitting so close. But, the bigger the better because father-in-law having some vision problems.

Any thoughts?

And, any thought on brands, purchase points, etc. to avoid or gravitate to?

Thanks, in advance.

37in HD TV it just takes a little time to get used to sitting that close... and turning your head to read the ends of sentences.

I find 19in screens easy to look at up close. Resolution is the big thing I would generally look at in a monitor purchase.

I have a 22" that isn't too far away from the edge of the desk. Maybe have them also invest in an add on keyboard tray.
