Of course my curiosity always wonders how much those staffers WON as they list how much they bet. This was interesting:
Heacock, son of defensive coordinator Jon Heacock, was a football graduate assistant in 2021 and 2022. He was hired back as director of football analytics April 24. His biography on ISU's athletic website did not mention where, or if, he worked in 2023 and 2024. He was found to have placed 787 bets totaling about $55,359.

I looked up his salary for 2021 and it was listed as $40,600. Is that a problem? Probably? Was he chasing money? Again, doesn't matter as the rules state they shouldn't bet. But you do hear it gets addictive real quick.
That’s like 2 bets a day and like $70 a wager. He didn’t lose $55,359 he wagered that much. People that play penny slot machines likely wager $400 every hour they are on the slot machine at a minimum.

They work for the ISU athletic department and should not be betting on ISU. That seems very clear. Did they influence players to bet? Maybe, maybe not. If they did, that should be a big problem for them IMO.

It is obvious to me that the lack of gold ($) in our uniform set was the underlying reason these folks, a few of them in the ISU equipment Dept., made these bets. They were trying to increase their gold.

I'm leaving now.
