Why is this still a story? It’s already been exposed that this was a crooked investigation by the Iowa DCI. Just move the F on

Of course my curiosity always wonders how much those staffers WON as they list how much they bet. This was interesting:
Heacock, son of defensive coordinator Jon Heacock, was a football graduate assistant in 2021 and 2022. He was hired back as director of football analytics April 24. His biography on ISU's athletic website did not mention where, or if, he worked in 2023 and 2024. He was found to have placed 787 bets totaling about $55,359.

I looked up his salary for 2021 and it was listed as $40,600. Is that a problem? Probably? Was he chasing money? Again, doesn't matter as the rules state they shouldn't bet. But you do hear it gets addictive real quick.

Yeah, it's kind of sensationalism. I looked up my draft kings account that I used for about 3 years before switching to another service. I bet almost $11k over that time and I ended up down $45. Not great on my part, but it was worth the $45 to have fun betting those games.

Three yrs and it only cost you $45 that's cheap entertainment.

First reported on Twitter/X by a handle called NILvsNLI about a week ago. It's a pretty good follow to find out what's happening in the world of Olympic sports being eliminated by colleges/universities.

Hell yeah it is. That’s why I love it. I just don’t get too crazy on betting amounts. Honestly my biggest bets are always against ISU as an emotional hedge. But any time I have time to watch a game I’m dropping $10 on it just to give me a rooting interest.

Did anything ever come out of that North Carolina academic fiasco? Just curious because I also see the NCAA made sure to punish Fordham for the basketball coach giving recruits tickets to Giants, Knicks and Nets games. Is there any consequence for a school just outright ignoring the NCAA at this point?
