According to Marc Stein of ESPN, Dirk Nowitzki will not take the final year of his contract.
The Mavericks will try to retain Nowitzki and reach a new contract before July 1. But with that date approaching, it is now likely that the Dallas All-Star will join this summer's high-profile free-agent class.

Another big name to hit the market tho I think he stays in Dallas

I could see him reuniting with Nash in Phoenix...especially if Amare leaves.

Dirk is a good sidekick. He needs to be paired with a star player. Maybe Bosh in Chicago?

It sounds like Bosh is going to try to team up with LeBron or Wade.

That and I don't see Dirk going to a team with lesser chance of winning then what Dallas has.

He doesn't want LeBron either, so obviously he's just stupid.
