My JT Seats to be Removed

I recieved a letter from the athletic department telling me my seats will only be around one more season and then I have to move. I'm okay with that (in the name of progress) but they tell me I can't buy more expensive seats until all season ticket renewals are in.

My question is why can't they tell me what seats were not sold as season tickets last year and let me decide if I want those seats? I know they need to figure out level of giving (I am now at the Cardinal Level) but shouldn't I get some consideration as to buying seats since I am being required to move? Why should I have to wait until April to get my tickets? It seems like in this case I should get some preferential treatment.

Am I wrong or what is it that I am not considering?

Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16.

The top 12 to 14 rows of these sections will be removed for phase 1 of the construction. The seats will be there this upcoming season but will not be there for the 2008 season.

I think the lady at the ticket office I talked to said something about row 33 being the last row - don't hold me to that.

I would like to be able to change my seat prior to everyone else getting a chance to buy more seats.

Got the same letter. Will be removing 2100 seats starting in 2008.
I had seats at the top of section 2, under the shade, with a seats that had a back rest, for a little over half price. Oh well, progress I guess.

It's my understanding that anyone displaced will be put ahead of all NEW ticket orders. You will not be able to displace someone else, but your request will be filled ahead of all new ticket orders in 2008.

That sucks because we are going to sell out all seats this year. Everyone is buying season tickets so they can get into the Crapeyes game.

Supposedly there is going to be big reshuffling next year anyway due to the people in better seats getting asked to pony up more $$. So there might be lots of good seats available.

Back to the endzone. Guess the away Hawk game means they can remove seats in 08. I think they should let you have free beers at halftime in the plush boxes that will remove you. The scoreboard will be bigger.

Right now I'm looking into jobs (graduating in May) and one of them is Daktronics... the company who did the scoreboard and ring in Hilton. They do football too (might have done ours). Hopefully the install a new one at Jack Trice and I get to work on it should I end up with that company!

You'll find Daktronics does the scoreboards at what seems to be almost every sporting venue. NFL, and College. They did the Godzillatron at Texas as well. It's a monster. Sitting in the opposite endzone of the stadium, when the team was on my side of the 50, it was still easier to see things on that stupid monster scoreboard.

By the way, if you go there don't be surprised if Daktronics puts you to work on billboards and not scoreboards. I think they're going to start investing a lot of time and development into digital advertising.
