They had Soundoff on at 1 today. Is it me or is John Sear's face just that punchable? Going on about how ISU's schedule is favorable except they don't play Texas or Oklahoma anymore and that Iowa can still win 8-9 games this year with their schedule. He did mention the $20 mil OSU team just as his take on how this NIL is not very fair. Blow it out you bung hole Sears! He forgot to mention that Iowa's future schedule in the next few years is going to a lot tougher also. Hoping for the Huskies to take it to them on Saturday, just to put more heat on Kirk's seat.

I love it. Iowa has made a god damn living on the Big 12 West schedules. And now we have a Big 10 West-like schedule. (Although I think early in the year it was rated as a bit harder than some of them, but who knows how that has changed as the season goes on.)

I'm not going to ******* apologize for it since FOR ONCE we sort of have an idea how Iowa has lived the last 15 years.

I don't like Washington's chances. So far the visiting teams crossing multiple time zones haven't fared well.

Ha, right!?

Just f***ing amazing how often those pricks b*tch. Literal f*cking cakewalk schedules year after year after year. CONSTANTLY dodging Ohio State, when we had to play Texas and OU every goddamn year and actually competed with them in recent years too. Ya know, not get absolutely boat raced.

Remember all those years when the Big 12 blue bloods did actually beat the crap out of us… can you imagine how neat it would have been to somehow still win 10 games against a total dogsh*t schedule in those same years, despite getting annihilated by literally any team with a pulse!? And have no one care!? 10 sh*tty wins! So cool!

The OU and UT thing cracks me up. We are 3-2 vs Texas over past 5 years. And we played OU pretty damn close since the win in 2017. Just a tired lazy reporting take all around.

Iowa fans and the media are gonna try to fan the SOS flames on the Big 12 but in reality this schedule will still be harder than anything Iowa has played in like 10 years.

I also think that we (as Iowa State fans) tend to under-estimate our schedule this year. It sure as hell is a lot easier than having Texas and Oklahoma. And (before the season at least) it was nice getting to dodge Oklahoma State.

But this schedule isn't complete dog ****. It's just a bit easier than we are used to. But plenty of Power 5 teams have played similar schedules over the years.

I work with a bunch of Hawk fans and they were just telling me this morning how they would love to be in a conference like the Big 12 with a bunch of teams that are pretty even as far as resources go. I had to laugh because they were basically describing how they wanted the Big Ten West back. The good ol days are over for Iowa. They got an "even resources" division while getting elite conference money. It was a great ride for them.

And for ****'s sake....Iowa still gets 3 Big 10 West teams every year.

Hawk fans say we are a fake ID team. They've never talked about their fake B1G West schedule over the past few years.
Hawk fans are delusional as all hell. And now they are going to lose badly in the near and possibly longer future. Fine by me.
