All of the other "memorable" threads got me thinking, what is the most memorable sporting event, pro or college, that you were in attendance for?

For me, it was the Padres Vs. Cubs game in July of 1987 when Andre Dawson got beaned in the face by Eric Show and there was a huge, bench clearing brawl.

For me it is kind of lame, but the ISU/Iowa MBB game in 2001-2002 season. I made the free throw for dough in front of the sold out crowd.

Other than that, maybe a Cardinals game during Ozzie's last season, or a Bulls game when Jordan/Rodman/Pippen played during one of the championship years. They played the Cavs, and Rodman hit a 3. I think Jordan had over 30.

Royals vs. Cardinals 1985 World Series. I was at the "bad Call" game that turned the tide of the World Series.

I was also at the 1984 Nebraska vs. Miami National title game where NU went for a 2 point conversion and the win instead of going for the tie and winning the National title.

The last one I was at was the Dallas Cowboys vs. Arizona Cardnals game where Larry Centers Errr Rod Tidwell scored the touchdown from the movie Jerry Mcguire.

The women coming back from 6 points down twice against KSU in the Big 12s last year was pretty memorable. Granted, I haven't been around long enough to have a whole lot of memories. :) You'd have thought a bomb went in the arena cause people were all over the place. Worst fight song the band's ever played....cause I think 3 people were playing.

I saw a triple play in person a couple years ago in the metrodome, CHI vs MIN. That was pretty cool, especially for how few MLB games I get to go to....

The OU- Boise State game was one of the most exciting games ever to watch.

Most memorable that i was in attendance for it has to be ISU over CU after the twister came through town. For those who hadn't shown up to the university yet, there were 70mph winds running south to north. Great passing game for one side and terrible for the other. Also the longest field goal I have every seen in person. Pumped up ISU crowd, one of the first night games in a long time (at least at that time) and an eventual ISU win.

went and watched the Dodgers at Cardinals in mid-90's. we got there early to watch batting practice right behind Dodgers dugout. owners of seats didnt get there for start of the game, so we stayed. I caught a foul ball off of Delino DeShields. 2 innings later, we had to move because they weren't our seats.

1998 - another Dodgers at Cards game, opening day. McGwire hit a grand slam, his 1st hr of his record breaking season.

I have too many great ISU moments to list.

- 2002 win over Iowa in IC. Sitting in the Iowa student section I just wanted to crawl into a hole and die in the first half and the Squawk fans were laying it on thick. Then Seneca brings em out in the second half and leads a comeback for the ages. The smack talk turned around quick and there was no better feeling than waving goodbye to all of their students as they did their head down mass exodus with about a minute left in the game. Storming the field when you are on the road added a sweet touch as well.

Attending ISU's first bowl victory is my most memorable.

This is a close #2 on my list as well. Turning Phoenix and that stadium into Jack Trice south was a spine tingling experience. I was in the first row in the corner of the endzone and when that hole opened up for Billups to take that punt back the roar of the crowd was overwhelming. Fantastic memory!

ISU 15- Iowa 13.

mainly because I do not often attend other sporting events. other games i've been too are sorta pathetic. The only competition that game has is white sox vs royals about two years ago when juan uribe hit a bomb to send the game into extras and then hit a RBI double in the 10th to win it. It was awesome and im a cubs fan. other games include: chicago wolves drubbing the iowa stars in the 90s sometime, bears throttling chargers in 1994, rams vs lions in 06, and bears/49ers preseason last year. pretty pathetic games there.
