This knee jerk rule is the only way you can beat the '21 Twins.
We've got six guys hitting at .400 clip and our pitchers are dominating. The defense will be there. Only question so far is the closer. If that spot gets solidified, watch out.
Agreed. But I think Rocco is more than ok with more than 1 guy filling that role. He’s been a low key mastermind with how he’s handle his Pen as manager.

If Rogers is back to '19 form (to early to tell) do you think Rocco will move him back to the closer role? I kinda hope so.

Me too. Be he can get slapped around some. He needs to locate his fastball better when he’s working up in the zone. That’s a good pitch for him and place to be but he needs to hit his spots to get those whiffs.

Colome can go back to Chicago. What a stiff. I don't understand the decision to move Rogers from the closer role......did they really think he was that bad?

I mean, blowing a 6 run lead is not good. Even this early.

Colome is as worthless as a poopy flavored lollipop.

Twins are worse than last year. Wish they would’ve signed a veteran LF in the offseason after letting Rosario go. I’ve seen enough of Jake Cave.

We've just got to wait a couple of weeks until they can bring Kirilloff up, and Cave can go back to his reserve role.
My main wish is that Rocco goes back to Rogers in the closer role, and soon.

I think Cave should be DFA’d. Outfielders like him are a dime a dozen. So tired of seeing him take pitches right down the middle and chase junk a foot off the plate.

Twins postpone tonight's game because of at least one positive Covid test (in addition to Simmons).
It's been a rough start to the season, but maybe this break will give their pitchers a chance to hit a badly needed restart button.

They need a kick in the balls is what they need. Especially the pen.

some of that is on Rocco but I sincerely believe it’s falveys fault. Hes in charge of getting thehorses and this isn’t working.

Not sure how you could watch Kiriloff and Cave at the plate and not pencil the former in the starting lineup. If Cave was a gold glove SS that’s one thing. There’s zero reason to have a corner OF be that useless at the plate. And it’s not like there’s any indication ever that he’s going to be good.

Agreed on Cave
The sample size is by far large enough by now. He’s been in the bigs for years. You know what your going to get and it’s moderately serviceable at the very very best.

Even Keon Broxton would be an upgrade over Cave. At least Broxton brings speed and defense to the table.

In Caves career he’s had right about 700 plate appearances and 234 strikeouts. That’s terrible. If you are doing that you better hitting with great power (he doesn’t) and sure as hell better not be a below average corner outfielder.

With Garlick being the second guy down with Covid, it looks like we get to see more Cave SOs, unless he's the third guy yet to be IDed.
