So we're halfway through the conference slate with a 3-6 record. That's the bad news. The good news is that 7 of the 9 games we've played were against the top 5 teams in the league. So the schedule has to improve. While tonight was rough, there's opportunity for a win streak over the next few weeks. If we can get 4 or 5 of the next 7 I think we'll be just fine for the tournament. We need to get wins against KSU, WVU, and OSU.

Tonight wasn't great but they're not the first good ISU team to lose some at home and in a lot of ways they're playing with more energy than I was thinking they would after TCU where they just looked ragged.

I predicted a 8 win season in October. What was yours?
Doesn't matter, we know how good this team is right now on February 1st and games like tonight aren't going to cut it. Kansas is the worst defensive team in the Big 12 without the conference POY and completely controlled us for 40 minutes. The Baylor game we went competitive at all and we actually played them closer last year.

I'm all in for TJ but if these are the results we are going to get in Hilton when the crowd is jacked for these games and waiting to erupt then this isn't going to get it done.
One of my main issues with Prohm besides he was a terrible coach was all the losses in Ames. We can't have 3 or 4 conference losses at home every year.

They showed very quickly that they're better than anyone thought pre-season. Brockington is one of the best players in the conference, if not the country. Just because you didn't adjust your expectations doesn't mean people who did are wrong.

Get what done? We're going to the tournament. That's an awfully good year.

So beating a very overrated Memphis team means losing to a good Kansas team is unacceptable? We are better than what everyone thought. But that doesn't mean we're a top 15 team either. Adjust your expectations, but don't go overboard and make yourself miserable.

For a quickly thrown together hodgepodge of misfits they are absolutely getting it done. Your entitlement is hanging out.

Weren't you one who was expecting 3 or so losses at home earlier this season and thinking 7ish conference wins was likely? That means home losses.

This is ISU team is undermanned most of the time. Finding 4 more wins is doable but will be tricky.
