A-ha is not a one-hit wonder.

They had three Top 50 hits in the U.S., and they always did well in Europe.

I Googled one-hit wonders and Take On Me was included on more than one result... So take it up with those guys.

Just pulled up The Sun Always Shines On TV and Cry Wolf on YouTube and had never heard them before... But I've heard Take On Me many times.

It’s like the term literally. Linguists understand that the term means something different than what the average dumbass American thinks it means.

I just have a very high standard for what constitutes a "one-hit wonder."

I mean, some bands basically had one song in their entire career...

...when A-Ha is a terrific and long-running band, just much more popular in Europe and overseas compared to their popularity in the United States.

Iconic song. Super awkward album cover.

The whole thing was basically an accident...

The song was written and recorded by studio musicians Gary DeCarlo, Dale Frashuer, and producer/writer Paul Leka at Mercury Records studios in New York City. The single was attributed to the band "Steam" although at the time there was actually no band with that name. Paul Leka and the studio group recorded the first album.

Totally backwards on your office farting strategy. A closed office or cube you are likely to get caught. Anyone drops in before the fog clears and you are busted. In an open concept office it is impossible to pinpoint the culprit, so you have plausible deniability. Rip away open office dwellers!

As someone who has both worked in an office and an open floor plan I can say there are risks to both. With an office it does not matter when you do it, someone will walk in 1 min later. I can't explain it but it is the truth. In an open floor plan you are playing with fire too. If it is an audible fart it will coincidentally be perfectly silent, no matter the noise level prior, when you let it loose.

The best option is clearly to go for a quick walk and crop dust on the way. It reduces the risk of being heard and it is tougher to pin on just you.

Even 'worse' than A-ha single, the Knack had more hits than My Sharona. Good Girls Don't peaked at #11 and was huge on the radio, too (#1 in Canada). Another smaller hit was Baby Talks Dirty which only briefly was top 40, peaking at #38.

I actually prefer Good Girls Don't to My Sharona. Always have...
