Maybe we can get some guys like Josh Mueller or Matt Leo out there against Baylor and tell them to Hulk Smash. Guarantee those guys would get some rebounds, but when it comes to dribbling, shooting or anything basketball related besides rebounding...not so much. Haha.

Love it.

“If you are going to represent the team that I coach, you’re going to block out then you’re going to go after the ball. That’s not really rocket science”

It looks tougher than rocket science here at Hilton this year

Whoever he had in the locker room before, he's lost. Next step for this guy is the unemployment line.

Uh, no. Cincy isn't letting him go anywhere. He may do as much with as little as anyone in the country. I would not want to play his team in the tourney. They came into Hilton a couple of years ago and beat one of our best teams.

I think he gets a little borderline once in while aka Eustachy minus the after game activities but he is a regular at the top of CUSA year in and year out.

Not sure of their draw but I'll probably pick them to win their first game or two.

Cincinnati is in The American Athletic Conference.

Then again, the AAC is basically a merger of the leftovers of the football Big East and the top half of Conference USA, so I can see your overall point there.

I’ll say that it is. Keep that **** out of public. Most guys aren’t trying to suck.

Mick Cronin has always seemed like an ******* to me. Isn’t he the one that got into the fight with their rival once?

Mick has always had that type of expectation out of his teams. Play smart, hard-nosed defense. I love the call-out, especially as the NCAA's start next week.

It was vs Xavier (under Mack). Cronin's press conference was awesome. He NEVER excused his players - called out players from both sides & mentioned that it was a privilege (not a right) to be able to play for the Bearcats & that his team needed to remember that. From Xavier's side??? - No accountability. Mack has a history of great success, but I'd take Cronin in a heartbeat over him.

Thank you for the update, I am usually a year or two or 5 behind. I wondered if that was still the conference right after I posted but was too lazy to check.

Cronin is a good coach, usually has his teams in the top 25 and in the dance constantly.

As far as his antics, I wish Prohm said stuff privately to the team that Cronin said publicly. Maybe he does, who knows. The boxing out quote stuck out.

Yes. This is a move that pleases fans but lowers (understatement) morale. It's a bad move.

I suppose it depends. I would guess that Cronin recruits a certain type of player who might respond well to tough-guy challenges like this. I'm with you in that I personally don't think much of his tactics here (when I played I never responded well to the yeller and screamer type of coach), but maybe for his group of players it works.

I definitely think our society has coddled kids too much. This is big boy ball, and if they have attitude problems, nothing better than a good hard butt kicking to humble you.

I was the opposite, I responded much better to someone getting after me. I think its too early to say if this is a bad move or not, like you said, maybe his kids respond well to this. We won't really know until they play again.
