I saw that he had a try out but basically wrote it off as a pipe dream with very little possibility. Pretty crazy. Congrats Mike.

So when in the Ukraine it really wasn't a safe environment, conmen and thugs preying on foreigners. He had a couple dangerous close calls with local thugs. Because of this he quit going out and just started working out. His agent is friends with a Seattle scout and suggested to the scout they work him out as a TE.

I always said Prohm wasnt using him at the right position!

Jk! Jk!
I mean, i did say that, but im joking here.

Good luck to Mike, thats a surprising development but its really cool. And there have been some great TE that have played basketball.

I recall some posters saying he should play football around the time he committed to Nebraska for basketball.

I mean, Antonio Gates played college basketball and not football and he had a pretty decent career in the NFL. Not saying Jacobson is the athlete Gates was, but crazier things have happened.

That's cool he's at least getting a cup of coffee. Would be hilarious (and great) if he had a little career out of it.

What kind of paycheck does that get besides more money than I'll probably never see at once?

$150k I think is league minimum if you're practice squad, but that's just from memory in other threads on here.

He must have put on a lot of muscle. Let’s see a picture of this beefcake!

Good for him. Takes guts to change careers at any point in life, even as an athlete.

This image looks better than the screencaps of the practice live stream I was tweeting out

Seahawks have two good TE after that it’s questionable, with a good showing I could see him make the practice squad. Some chance to move to the 53 man during the season.
