Do they introduce the Cyclones starting lineup before the visiting team? I can’t remember, old age and a too much fun Christmas Eve.

My idea for introducing the team at home is this. A soon as the announcer finishes the introductions for the visitors, he says “ and now the Iowa State Cyclones starting lineup”
Cue the music: the intro and first line of lyrics from the Smashing Pumpkins song ‘Cerub Rock’.
This song is dated and I know it doesn’t really fit what the rest of the song is about but the first line is perfect for Hilton: “Freak out and give in”.

And then start the introduction of the starters.

Or cue the music as soon as the visitors are introduced and the announcer could start his spiel for the Cyclones at the end of it.

I turned 58 this week. I am way too old to know what would be cool intro or lineup music. I am proud to say that I still have enough wits about me to know that. I might be getting close to the music is too loud group, but I don’t think so yet.

Johnny Orr sure could get a crowd fired up back in the day.

Just once they would play the Tonight Show theme when TJ comes out.
But his name isn't Johnny. TJ use to walk out to the intro from Can't Stop by the Red Hot Chili Peppers which is great entrance music, but I don't think I've heard that for a couple years now. I only get to a couple games a year so maybe that still happens sonetimes.

I'm 25 and loved Jock Jams....bring it back!
Maybe if they would have let it breathe a bit and just debuted it recently, it'd be ok.

But we ran it into the ground long after it was ok and well before nostalgia retro coolness could set in.

Ironically, I still remember getting that Jock Jams CD for my 8 yr old Xmas. It paired nicely with my Michael Jordan Cologne, a giant boom box with almost no bass, one of those small basketball hoops to mount on my bedroom door, and some roller blades I wore out at the local small town roller skating rink.

Oh, those were the days. IYKYK.

Middle name is John. Give him a checkered blazer and the fist pump. Just once!
