Mediacom Internet Issues

Same thing happened to me. my internet was out this morning. Tonight I came home and it looked like everything was good but nothing worked. Tried calling and got the busy signal. Working now.

So after doing some reading it seems like this may be the way to go 100% of the time. Question: Do I just need to change the settings on my router or do I have to change them on every device individually?

Sounds like a good time to switch to Centurylink. My internet hasn't gone down once in the 5 years I've had them.

just router unless you have setup static dns addresses on your devices.

It sounds dumb at first, but most people have smartphones now that they can check these things on.

Good way to notify younger people. But most people paying the internet bill are moms and dads who don't have a smartphone and twitter in hand 24-7. Of course, older people don't spazz out when the internet goes down either. They do old fashioned stuff instead, like read or talk.
