Sitting at Yankee Stadium ready for an afternoon baseball game in the shade and a beer. Don’t get much better than this!
Please show me on the doll where George Steinbrenner hurt you. That soulless, corporate ballpark is far from the Mecca of the MLB. The old one might have been, but not the new one
Hate the Yankees but whenever I decide to finally go to NYC it will be when they're in town regardless of who they're playing.

Time for Robin Ventura to run the bases!Looks like OP got good action for 4.5 innings, 7-4 game ( Yanks up) with lots of runs.
But than NY turned into Iowa and it poured rain.

My first time in NYC was in 1987. Took the train in from NJ top see the Yankees vs. the Red Sox. Walked up and bought a ticket easily. Some guy named Roger Clemons for the Red Sox won his 20th game that night on his way to to his second Cy Young award. That was in the old Stadium. Been to the new Stadium too to see the Reds play, but the first time in the old stadium was super special.I’ve been to NYC one time. When we got there the Yankees had 3 games left in the season. They win one, and they host a 1 game wildcard spot against the Red Sox. We got tickets.
They proceeded to lose all three games. I never liked the Tankees but man I cannot stand them now.
Just because it isn’t a total ******** like Old Yankee Stadium was? They did a solid job bringing in the design features from pre-renovation Old Yankee Stadium and post-renovation Old Yankee Stadium. The facility itself was barely better than the piece of **** the A's called a stadium. That soulless, corporate ballpark is far from the Mecca of the MLB. The old one might have been, but not the new one
Same thing with Rosemblatt In Omaha. People still lament it being torn down. It was a complete dump and people act like it was some sort of shining jewel.Something being old doesn’t make it great. Most of the time it means ********.

Between the new ballpark and the convention center/arena the whole north part of downtown Omaha was completely revitalized. Both were vehemently opposed by a lot of people. That and Omaha was basically told "build something newer/nicer/better or you're gonna lose the CWS"
