What episode of the Twilight Zone am I ******* in right now?
Interesting you didn't highlight the word "probably" in my sentence. In my mind... "probably" means greater than a 50% chance. Is that the same thing as saying "he will never play here"?? Hmmm??

It's just a fact that if a player doesn't make an impact in year 1 they likely aren't around for year 2, no matter why they aren't playing in year 1.

I'm hoping that with the end of the COVID era and with (hopefully) some moderation in NIL that will change.

ummm... okay?? interesting take for sure. not sure how you took my statement as a shot on the kid? it was the complete opposite of that.... I think he's smart.

And to add to that.... I didn't say he'll never play here... I hope he does... he looks like a good player. I'm just saying us Cyclone fans have been down this road before... and many times the kid never plays a single minute for us. and not always the kid's choice either I'm sure.

How many schools play every scholarship player? There’s no enough minutes for everyone every year. Nothing wrong with having guys develop, even if they end up dropping down a level later. Still need body’s.

The only recent examples of a transfer sitting out and leaving before ever playing are Blake Hinson and Jeremiah Williams. One of those was a pre-Otz transfer who clearly didn't fit with Otz's style and the other was caught up in the gambling investigation--it's not exactly a trend.

If you want to group freshmen in with that, I suppose that's your right and the group becomes larger. But then you might as well just stop paying attention to college basketball because it's just going to make you angry.

We don't know it was a bad culture fit. From what I heard he wasn't good enough on defense, but then transferred and was an All-ACC player.
Being an All-ACC player doesn’t make you a great defender all the sudden, not every player fits every system. Hell being let go from Iowa State likely was what caused him to pull it together and put in more effort.

What was it Johnny said about somebody back in the day...?

"He's second in the country in scoring? That's great. Too bad the guy he's guarding is first."

Only a question for the premium board….evidently.

There is enlightening information about this situation back there.

But information that was VERY specifically asked not to leave those confines.

TJ and this staff tends to be about ten steps ahead and given the landscape of men's college basketball and college sports generally right now are pretty much maxing out on what Iowa State can do.
